We were delighted to be part of Mace’s 25 year celebration event last night. 30 aerial silk performers broke a world record for ‘most people performing aerial skills’. WOW! Private Drama conceived and produced this event.  We are hugely grateful to them for involving Spark! in such a dynamic event.

It was certainly difficult for our Spark! performers to stay focussed on their drumming as 30 world-class aerialists spun and danced overhead. Watch for yourself to see how impressive this is.

More about the world record: (taken from the Guinness World Records website):

“The record attempt was organised to celebrate the 25th anniversary of international consultancy and construction company Mace – the company famous for building the iconic Shard building and delivering the infrastructure and venues for the London 2012 Olympic  and Paralympic Games. Adam Blackwood, Creative Director of UK event management consultancy, Private Drama, who conceived and produced the entire event said, “We are thrilled to achieve a Guinness World Records title tonight and conceive and produce yet another world-first for Mace … Aerial Dance was an obvious choice for us to highlight the story they have to share on their 25th anniversary, while simultaneously elevating the breath-taking and dramatic art form of aerial silks.” “
