Spark! is made by Worldbeaters, a company of performer-makers in the North East of England. Everything you see on the street began life in our workshop.
Every drum, costume and light was made by hand in our workshop in North Shields.
Spark! created the illuminated drumming genre and has spent fourteen years touring it: more than 40 countries, from Glastonbury Festival to Singapore Night Festival to Fête des Lumières Lyon, alongside corporate events for some of the biggest brands in the world.
The drums, the costumes and the lighting design are all made and maintained by the company, and refined a little more every season on the road.

A small company with a big footprint
Worldbeaters is run by co-directors Chris Maines-Beasley and Alex Tustin, with a cast of professional performers drawn from across the North East and beyond. The same people who build the instruments, design the lighting and direct the show are the ones answering your emails, which keeps things quick and honest.
