Spark! works as a parade act, street performance, or featured moment within a larger programme. The performers roam through your site, gathering a crowd and carrying it along, then hold it, silent and glowing, before the drums come back in. We work at any scale, from village squares to World Cup stadiums.
Previous work includes Glastonbury Festival, Singapore Night Festival, Fête des Lumières Lyon, and festivals in more than 40 countries.

In daylight the characters and choreography carry the show; as the light fades, the illuminated drums take over the street. Spark! has led carnival parades, closed light festivals and walked audiences from one end of a programme to the other.
Winter parades and switch-onsWhat programmers say
Dynamic performance and interaction with the public were simply amazing. It's astonishing how the public followed them to the very last end. The city was filled with positive energy.

Programming questions
What formats work at a festival?
Spark! works as a parade act, a roaming street performance, or a featured moment within a larger programme. Roaming sets gather crowds as they move; static sets give your programme a headline moment. Many festivals combine both across an evening.
Does the show need a stage or power?
No stage needed: Spark! was made for public space. The show is largely self-contained, and a full technical specification is available on request.
What scale of event does Spark! suit?
Any scale. The same show that fills a World Cup stadium works in a village square, because the performance is built on closeness: eye contact, rhythm and light. We choose the format to match the crowd.
Does Spark! perform in daylight?
Yes. The costumes, characters and drumming carry the show in daylight, and the lighting design takes over as the light fades. Dusk sets, where the drums slowly become the brightest thing on the street, are a favourite.
